The TRUE cost of DXpeditioning!

E-mail Print PDF

The true cost of dxpeditioning is not understood by most DXers and is not really a subject that normally receives a lot of attention for some unknown reason.

Unless you have been involved in some way with a dxpedition it is hard to understand sometimes what all the fuss is about. ·We encourage all DXers to look at the presentation at the link below to gain an understanding of this vital subject as the future of dxpeditioning to the rarer entities we all want may be in jeopardy.

Don·Greenbaum, N1DG, gave a presentation on "DXpedition's Funding and Costs" at Dayton Hamvention 2012 and is something·every DXer should see and should be shown at every DX association and·club. It will open your eyes. Don's excellent PowerPoint presentation·from Dayton is now available at the NCDXF's Web page at:

http://www.ncdxf.org/misc/N1DG-DXpeditioncosts-Dayton2012.ppsx

Please consider supporting that next Dxpedition you spend so much time trying to contact as the people involved need your support even more than you may need the contact.

Please also consider joining or supporting ODXG (or any of the other DX Clubs or Foundations) ·as this is also an excellent way of showing your support for DXpeditioning.

73 & Thank you.

E-mail Print PDF

Hi All

You can now sign up to join the ODXG members only DX Club League at ClubLog.

You need to be a member of Clublog, but what DXer these days isn't already. Log in to Clublog and go to your Settings page and then click on the Clubs tab.  From there just scroll down the list to find ODXG and click on join. It's that easy!

clubleague

After your ODXG membership is verified you will be able to see your Clublog statistics up against other ODXG members....just the thing to get some friendly rivalry going!

We will need a minimum of 10 members signed up before the statistics will start to show in the league tables so get to it and prompt other members you know to do the same.   Who will be "top dog" when we get listed......?  Should be fun!

cheers...Allan VK2CA
